Halevy, Isaac

(1847-1914)
   Polish rabbinic scholar. Born in Ivenets, he lived in various cities including Pressburg, Homburg and Hamburg, where he served as Klausrabbiner. His Dorot ha-Rishonim is a history of the oral law from biblical times to the period of the geonim.
